Myspace comment question...?

sometime last night a comment showed up on my sons profile, it says it was sent from him, and it was an ad for findyourcrush.org .. all of his friends received this same comment from him. what causes this to happen and is there anyway to keep it from happening again?

Myspace comment question...?

That means a mini-virus entered his profile. The only way to get it out is for him to change his password.

Also, tell him not to click on ads that he thinks his friends might have sent him because that's how they get into his profile. Hope this helps!

Myspace comment question...?

Yes, his account was hacked by the promoters of the site and sent out messages to everyone on his list using his name. Fortunately, this is usually not dangerous and can be very easily solved. All he needs to do is change his password on myspace and the problem should be fixed.

This has happened to me twice in 4-5 months and I have changed my password twice. It hasn't happened since, and its really not a big deal. :]

Myspace comment question...?

Tell him to watch where he enters his password when he's on there, if he's already logged in myspace shouldn't be telling him to log in again. If he's told to then it isn't myspace asking for his password. Also have him change his password right now.
